Painting FAQs — Premium Walls

Quick answer

What do most customers ask before booking painting work?

The three most common questions are how the cost is calculated, whether the home can stay occupied during the work, and what surface preparation is actually included. Cost depends on paintable area and wall condition rather than carpet area; occupied homes are usually painted room by room; and the preparation included should be listed in the quotation rather than assumed.

General questions

Do you provide a free site inspection?

You can request a site inspection through the website, phone or WhatsApp. The team will confirm availability and schedule the visit. Any conditions attached to the inspection are communicated during confirmation.

How is painting cost calculated?

The cost depends on the paintable area, surface condition, preparation, paint selected, number of coats, included surfaces and access requirements. An inspection helps produce a more accurate quotation.

Can you paint an occupied home?

Yes, subject to the project scope. Work can be planned room by room, with furniture and relevant surfaces protected before painting. The exact schedule depends on the number of rooms, preparation and drying time.

Which paint brands do you use?

Premium Walls can recommend suitable options from established paint manufacturers based on the surface, required finish, maintenance expectations and budget. The approved brand and product is stated in the quotation.

How long does home painting take?

Duration depends on the property size, surface condition, preparation, paint system, number of coats, drying time and team availability. The expected schedule is shared after the site assessment.

Is cleanup included?

Protection and post-painting cleanup are defined in the approved scope. The team will explain what is included before work begins.

Do you provide a warranty?

Warranty availability and coverage depend on the paint system, surface condition and service selected. Any applicable product or workmanship warranty is provided in writing with its terms and exclusions.

Service and process

What happens during a painting site inspection?

The team discusses your requirement, examines the visible surface condition, identifies the areas to be painted, takes measurements where required and gathers the information needed to prepare the scope and quotation.

Why is surface preparation important?

Preparation helps create a stable, even and compatible base for the finishing coats. Inadequate preparation can affect appearance, adhesion and durability.

Can Premium Walls use a paint brand selected by me?

Brand and product preferences can be discussed during inspection. The final selection should be suitable for the surface and application, and is recorded in the quotation.

Will the same team work throughout the project?

Team allocation depends on project scale and schedule. Premium Walls communicates who is supervising the work and how changes will be managed.

Cost and quotation

Why do painting quotations vary so much?

They may include different preparation, paint products, areas, coat counts, labour responsibilities and warranty conditions. Compare line items before comparing totals.

Is per-square-foot pricing reliable?

It is useful only when the measurement method and included work are clear. Ask whether the rate covers putty, primer, paint, ceiling, labour, masking and cleanup.

Is premium paint always necessary?

No. Product selection should match the room, surface, expected maintenance, finish and budget. Premium products cannot compensate for inadequate preparation.

Why can't you provide an exact price without inspection?

The final cost depends on paintable area, wall condition, preparation, product, coats, included surfaces and access. Photographs and BHK details can provide an initial indication but may not reveal the complete scope.

Does the quotation include paint and labour?

The quotation clearly states whether it is labour-only or includes labour and materials. It also identifies the products and preparation included.

Are taxes included?

The quotation states applicable taxes separately or confirms whether they are included in the total.

During the work

How should I prepare my home for painting?

Remove valuables and small personal items. Furniture movement, covering and other preparation responsibilities should be discussed with the team before work begins.

Can painting be done room by room?

Yes, where the project and household allow it. Room-wise execution may take longer but can reduce disruption in occupied homes.

How long should paint dry between coats?

Drying time depends on the product, ventilation, temperature, humidity and manufacturer recommendations. Coats should not be rushed simply to shorten the project.

Quality and warranty

What is the difference between product and workmanship warranty?

A product warranty is governed by the paint manufacturer and its conditions. A workmanship warranty, if offered, relates to the execution performed by the service provider. Both may have different coverage and exclusions.

Does warranty cover dampness or leakage?

Not automatically. Moisture-related failures may be excluded unless the source was identified, treated within the agreed scope and specifically covered in writing.

Inspections and enquiries

Is the inspection automatically confirmed when I submit the form?

No. The form records your preferred date and time. The team will contact you to confirm availability.

Can I receive a quotation using photographs?

Photographs can support an initial discussion, but wall condition, measurements and access may require a physical inspection before the final quotation.

Which areas do you serve?

Premium Walls serves selected Bengaluru areas based on project scope and current team availability. Share your pincode to confirm coverage.
